Brief: Belmont University is looking for a way to engage college students in activism and altruism in the community and to create easily accessible educational and volunteer opportunities.
Concept: During my time at Belmont, I’ve seen the true passion students hold for so many different social causes, but it can be hard to know where to start. I saw an opportunity to bridge that gap and provide students real and easy ways to learn more about social causes, become advocates for change, and connect with local organizations to do hands-on work.
Design Choices: I chose the name Ripple because of the wide wake of change just one person can create. The design elements are focused around the idea of the Ripple effect just one person can create. effect to enforce that idea. The final kiosk and corresponding app would be conceptually innovative, impactful for the community, visually simple, and easy to use.
